Best Elevated Dog Beds

The Coolaroo is the gold standard of elevated beds, and more than 80,000 reviews back that up. The HDPE fabric eliminates the pest and mold problems that plague traditional beds, while the breathable mesh provides genuine cooling. It's simple, tough, and does exactly one thing extraordinarily well — keep your dog off the ground and comfortable.

If your dog weighs more than 100 pounds, stop looking — the K&H Original Pet Cot is built for exactly this situation. The 600-denier fabric on a steel frame handles 200 lbs without flinching, and it transitions from patio to living room without a second thought. It costs a bit more than the Coolaroo but the build quality justifies every penny for large breeds.

The Veehoo is the budget pick for a reason — it delivers the core benefits of an elevated bed at a price that lets you put one in every room. The mesh center keeps dogs cool, and it's perfectly fine for small to medium breeds. Just know that dogs over 60 pounds will likely cause sagging within a year, so temper expectations accordingly.

The large-dog gap in this subcategory. At 49 inches it takes dogs the Coolaroo and K&H cots are too short for, and Bedsure specifies a breathable mesh deck on a steel frame — the same cooling principle as the picks above it, in a size that actually fits a big dog.
